Case Description
Organisation under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, the Management body of the Delta of Axios - Loudia - Aliakmona is responsible of the management of this protected area (National Park).

Description
Description
The protected area of Axios – Loudias – Aliakmonas Delta, is ideal for environmental educational activities. Pupils of all levels of educations can visit the area and learn about the values of wetlands, the animal and bird species that live here, or about the problems that the area faces.
The Management Body organises guided tours for schools. The objective is to give the students the opportunity to get in touch with nature and acquire an authentic relation with the wetland.
Four theme eco – routes are proposed:
- Riverine forest of Axios
- Nea Agathoupoli
- Kalohori lagoon – Gallikos river estuaries
- Coastal zone of Axios
