Description
There is not always a need to build up new infrastructure. Instead, the idea of CRS is to offer a new orientation system with a variety of connections between already existing tourism products, gastronomic, cultural and agricultural offers as well as local enterprises. The goals of CRS are to ensure the maintenance of historical routes by attracting visitors to hike and walk on these historical paths and to offer a national marketing platform to local nature based small´and medium sized enterprises. The product offers unique and matchless experiences for visitors, for example travelling as in former days, walking off the beaten tracks, using historical means of transportation, staying in historical hotels and tasting local food. The programme has been created by ViaStoria (Centre of Transport History) and further developed with the Swiss Museum of Transport, Pro Patria and the Swiss Heritage Society.
